MU Extension Office to host program for landowners


SAVANNAH, Mo. - The University of Missouri Extension is hosting a program for landowners hoping to lease their land to farmers. Issues include when rent should be paid and whether owners or tenants should pay for fertilizer and lime.

County Engagement Specialist in Agriculture and Environment Denice Hector told KXCV/KRNW that the program is beneficial to both owners and tenants.

The Farm Lease Program will take place Feb. 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Sisters of Saint Francis, Mother Pia Ministry Center in Savannah. Pre-registration is required by Feb. 21.
